My favorite song is....FEARLESS. It is the first song I heard from Floyd when I was a youth (15), and it was played on the AM radio.

Fearlessly the idiot faced the crowd...SMILING !!!

Probably my favorite too...i love the atmosphere it creates.  It has that longing sounding soaring...sort of lonely sounding guitar in it.  I don't know how to describe it, its just beautiful.  And that first chord is just so great.  Such an unknown Floyd gem!

ALTHOUGH....Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast is a close 2nd  Very Happy

To pick just one....   too hard...    Several Species from Ummagumma was the first Floyd song that I can remember hearing.   This, then became my first LP I bought at the tender age of 9.  I think Floyd went downhill after The Wall, but I very much enjoy the Floyd after Roger left.  Mr. Gilmour is by far my favorite guitarist.  I like to call him "Mr. Intensity".

Done rantin....

Yeah, one is a bit hard to pick, Shine on you Crazy Diamond just beats out Careful With That Ax Eugene for me. But not by much. And of course i cannot give a legit reason other than i just love Floyd. The first song i really heard from them was back in '80 or '81, Another Brick in the Wall, i think. Thus began my love affair with their music.

Choose only one, it's just impossible !

But, as far I can remember, I needed to take a chair and go on the top of the TV to be able to reach the radio casette and then put wish you were here cassette. My first love one was for sure : Shine on you crazy diamond. I was maybe 5 years old. I told to my son, when I'll die, that's the one that I want to be play.

I cannot retain my tears each time that I hear the last guitar solo from confortably numb, the Delicate sound of thunder one ! at 6.02 min ouffffff I just explod.

And what about sorrow ! I've seen a tribute show and the guy played the bass with a thing for violin ! That was amazing............ memorable.

I've got to go with "Comfortably Numb," although there are so many good ones (obviously).  Every time I hear it, it just does something to me.  Very moving!

My fav has to be erm - well, 2 and it's a toughy Confused
The first I heard was a 70-71 BBC recording of Meddle! Blew me away, although I did here it in the 80's!
The second is Comfortably Numb - every time DG does this he 'changes' the sound which keeps it so fresh Wink
But of course there's the other one and then that one and every one of em......
Damn a tough question!!!!
